Rather than leave customers to find an electrician themselves, we work alongside James Electrical Services Ltd, an NICEIC Approved Contractor covering London and the surrounding counties.
James Plumbing & Heating is a plumbing and heating company. We are not electricians. When a job needs electrical work, we introduce customers to James Electrical Services Ltd, an NICEIC Approved Contractor who handles domestic and commercial electrics, maintenance, emergency call-outs, EV charger installations and EICR certificates. They carry out, certify and invoice the electrical work directly.

Where plumbing and electrics meet
Most of our customers find us for a boiler, a bathroom or a leak. On plenty of those jobs there is an electrical element that legally has to be done and certified by an electrician.
Rather than hand you a list of names, we work with one firm we know, so the two sides of the job talk to each other and you are not left project managing two diaries.
You are under no obligation to use them. If you already have an electrician you like, we are happy to work around them.
Boiler and heating installs
We fit and commission the boiler. Where the wiring, fused spur or controls need an electrician, Jack's team handles that side and certifies it.
Bathrooms and wet rooms
We take care of the pipework, sanitaryware and drainage. Lighting, shaver points, extractor fans and underfloor heating connections are wired and tested by the electrical team.
Kitchen refits
Sinks, appliance feeds and waste from us. Sockets, hobs, cooker circuits and lighting from them, sequenced so nobody is waiting on anybody.
Landlord compliance
We issue the Gas Safety Certificate (CP12). They issue the EICR. Between the two you have the paperwork a rental property needs.

Who does what, who certifies what, and who invoices you.
Do James Plumbing & Heating do electrical work?
No. We are a plumbing and heating company, Gas Safe registered for gas work. Electrical work is carried out by James Electrical Services Ltd, an NICEIC Approved Contractor. We make the introduction and coordinate timings so the trades do not clash on site.
Who quotes and invoices for the electrical work?
James Electrical Services Ltd do, directly. You get their quote, their engineer and their invoice. There is no mark-up added by us and no obligation to use them.
Can you certify electrical work?
We cannot. Electrical certificates, including EICRs and installation certificates, are issued by James Electrical Services Ltd under their NICEIC registration. We issue gas paperwork such as CP12 Gas Safety Certificates.
What if my job needs both a plumber and an electrician?
That is exactly why this arrangement exists. Tell us what the job involves and we will speak to the electrical team so both visits are booked around each other, rather than you chasing two diaries.
